Jiří Thýn, Václav Kopecký: A Little bit of Joy from the Ashes (II)

The exhibition A Little Bit of Joy From the Ashes (II) at KC SCHULE brings together the work of two artists, Jiří Thýn and Václav Kopecký, whose practices are rooted in the medium of photography. Jiří Thýn presents works primarily in photography and collage, enriched with digital drawing. His recent large-format photographs reflect the contemporary world, searching for hope amid the winding currents of the many crises and challenges facing society today.
Václav Kopecký exhibits photographs from his extensive series Always Now, which explores themes of time, the event as a singular moment, memory, and the shifting role of the observer as participant. The photographs are integrated into an installation constructed from wooden battens and complemented by fossils, emphasizing the notion of suspended time and the tension between the present and the past. The exhibition opening will feature a live performance by singer-songwriter Sára Chalupová, accompanied by ukulele and guitar.
