Summer Creative School for teachers

In the beautiful landscape of the Orlické Mountains, we organized a Summer School, where our team prepared a three-day program dedicated to creative education, interdisciplinary learning, tools of audiovisual documentation, project-based work, and mutual exchange. Our aim is to gently engage the whole person in the learning process, using an artistic approach as a tool for communication. We offer an open and safe environment supported by experienced professionals with long-standing expertise in education—on practical, theoretical, and policy levels.

The program is intended for teachers of all subjects who are interested in developing an interdisciplinary approach to learning and strengthening creativity and creative thinking in teaching, based on a synergy of knowledge, skills, values, and personal experience. The Summer School is open to all educators interested in innovative and experiential learning. We offer an open and safe space for creation, education, and mutual exchange, with the opportunity to gain new inspiration for the upcoming school year in the beautiful surroundings of the Orlické Mountains.

The main themes we focus on are:
The development of creative learning and thinking.
Interdisciplinary teaching delivered through creative projects.
Feedback and self-reflection.
Documentation and presentation of one’s own teaching.
The development of cultural and digital competences.
Art as a tool for communication and a medium for interdisciplinary creative learning.

Connecting, sharing, collaborating, experiencing, documenting!!
We lead experiential classes and workshops in which teachers have the opportunity to try out various methods of a creative approach to teaching in practice. We organize discussions, lectures, and presentations based on proven examples from practice. We offer the possibility to develop participants’ own programs and lesson plans in collaboration with our teaching team. We focus on feedback and the sharing of experiences among participants. In our program, we place strong emphasis on supporting the development of key competences and their application in school practice. We present a wide range of approaches to documenting teaching and reflecting on it afterwards. All of this takes place in the inspiring setting of a former German school, located in the unique landscape of the Orlické Mountains.

Our Summer School team consists of experts in creative education and contemporary artists from the visual and performing arts with teaching experience. We collaborate with the Society for Creative Education (SPKV).
