Summer Camp SCHULE IV
This year's SCHULE Summer Day Camp was dedicated to the world of animated filmmaking—from the initial idea to the public premiere. Together, we explored how films are made, learned about the different professions and creative roles involved in filmmaking, and formed our own film crews, with each participant taking on a specific responsibility.
Following a collaborative brainstorming process, the participants developed several story ideas, from which we produced seven short animated films. The children experienced every stage of the filmmaking process themselves—from scriptwriting and filming to animation, editing, sound design, and the final public screening. They also designed and created original posters for each of their films.
The initial inspiration came from a walk through the landscape of the Orlické Mountains, where we observed our surroundings, gathered ideas, and searched for stories hidden within familiar places. The landscape became the starting point for creating a series of original animated worlds.
Celým kreativním procesem účastníky provázeli: Iris Hobson Mazur, Tadeáš Polák, Zuzana Jirsová, Kazi Gilman, Magdalena Tymelová a Hugo Wiesner.
