"I'll Thin the Forest Tunnel" – Textile Workshop with Eva Volfová

Inspired by the surrounding landscape, we will design, layer, cut, and stitch our own textile interpretations of the places around us. This hands-on textile workshop is open to participants of all ages.
For our youngest visitors: a playful cutting and collage textile workshop featuring activities from my Little Sewing Projects series—Give the Bald Heads Some Hair, Dress Antonína, and more.

Eva Volfová is a visual artist, graphic designer, illustrator, art educator, author of educational programmes, and instructor of printmaking techniques.

She creates visual stories for children and their parents. Working primarily with textiles, she transforms fabric into narrative worlds, combining new and vintage materials and drawing with thread to bring her stories to life.
She is currently working on the large-scale embroidered works of her ongoing project Nitka a Linka (Thread and Line).

She is dedicated to developing textile skills in children and has created a series of sewing kits titled Na nitě je tužka krátká (When a Pencil Isn't Enough). Through these projects, she encourages young makers to see their first experiences with needle and thread not as a challenge to overcome, but as an invitation to discover their own creativity, tell stories, and play with textile materials.
